Smile: Final outcome + Feedback

Having my final outcome up and ready for the Smile campaign, on this blog you will find the result made for the project, as well as a link leading to a recording where a presentation was given to a selected few to collect feedback.

First to publish, the outcome:

Only being near two minutes, one main change is needed to it coming from the feedback. That being to adjust the effects slightly having the start darken some more considering the audience hadn't noticed first time round claiming the lighting is what they would change not realising I already had that in the advertisement.

Before giving the presentation, a word document was written up as I thought up a few suitable questions to ask the audience after the video had played getting their thoughts and opinions.Smile feedback questions from AmyKilbride2

As a result, the small list came in handy. I didn't use it though, using the computer to screen the advertisement and my phone to voice record the feedback, after getting the questions typed up I followed on by writing the same questions down in a notebook to have it ready at hand as it came to asking the audience what was written down.

As I mentioned, my mobile device was used to capture what was said about the product. Before uploading it to YouTube, a few adjustments were quickly made.

Not having access to logic, the main audio editing software, due to the computer I was using at the time of working on this. Overcoming this, I set up the file on Premier Pro and placed an image down I had found online and got to editing the mp3 file. Getting rid of any stutters, long gaps, there are two halves to the audio. The first being me announcing and explaining the presentation, the next half the feedback being received.

Below now, the presentation should be found being given to the five sat ready.
Making a start, I had welcomed those previewing the advertisement and explained the purpose of the product right before hitting play on the video.

Going in order of how the questions were written up, I asked for the peoples thoughts on what they had just watched. As a result, nothing but positive feedback so far. Everyone claimed to enjoy what they had watched.

Next question, did they understand the message? "If you're sad just do something good." Close enough really. Maybe not what crossed my mind I planned it out but still.

All finding the layout reaches out to their age group, one claimed they saw it as a product for everyone rather than limiting it to sixteen to eighteen year olds due to the situations being like "everyday situations". Needing the clarification, I made sure to find that advertisement its still still worked and to that she responded it does.

Going back to what was mentioned about the lighting, this was the only issue found with the video the audience had found. Acknowledging that the lighting isn't the easiest to deal with, an idea came up to have the sad half of the video darker than the second. Which I had to mention I already did with the first part being darker and bluish followed by the second ending brighter and yellowish. Fixing this issue, I will have to get round to darkening the first chapter of clips so it becomes slightly more obvious as those watching hadn't noticed the change.

Finding questions, there was no questions.
