Canon: Planning for the final outcome

Coming up with a final piece working towards the Canon campaign, a word document was put in place helping me to get everything that came to mind, out and organized. Originally though, we learned it was only a digital poster that was expected of us to put forward. Fast forward a few week of working on the poster we were told a video outcome was needed for the campaign as well as the poster. Then fast forward again to last week, plans had changed and we are only meant to publish a poster. For those who want to though and can get the video complete, both can go towards our participation in the project. And for me, since I have ideas ready for the production stage, I am aiming to get both complete before the deadline.

Starting off with research going towards my theme associated for the campaign, Journeys, a PowerPoint was created finding my target audience, looking into the client and context of the project. That PowerPoint will be found below.

Next to mention, a word document full of official planning. From figuring out ideas relating to the base of the projects to who would be included, possible locations, basically anything and everything that came to mind relating to what I could put forward whether it was for the digital print or to do with a second within the duration of the video outcome.
Now, layout designs for the poster result. Taking a little experimenting, I decided to use cut outs to choose how the digital print should result. Like how you would in art, before gluing down any work or imagery, you would lay the cut outs on the page rearranging them till you found yourself pleased with how it was laid out.
Doing that for the poster, it helped to find where I wanted everything placed rather than ruining so many pieces of paper trying to choose the right one I wanted to go ahead with. And doing it physically as well, it helped finding the design I was after making it more enjoyable getting to complete in person rather than digital not getting a real idea for a poster design.
Documenting the short journey to find a layout, you will find everything only one scroll below.
Finally, location possibilities for the shootings. Rather than putting a story board together giving specifics of what footage I'm after where really whilst out and about anything the camera captures was unscripted. Not due to any cause of being lazy or not putting the effort in. But because I aimed to collect REAL footage. Anything that's to become a memory for me when spending time with friends, just like my message behind the advertising of the Canon Camera.
So instead, I have uploaded pictures of areas used as setting for each scene. Whether that's to be included or not in the end result, a short list was provided below each inserted image giving a reason as to why I had chosen that location to film.
Same as every other document included, you will find the PowerPoint mentioned, just underneath.
