Smile: podcast

Image
Adding a podcast to the mind campaign, I decided to create an unscripted audio linking to the theme of smile. Having me with a few friends, we would talk as if it was a normal conversation... at least, what comes off normal for us. Jokes, laughs, only one part of the audio file was scripted and that was to promote the charity, mind. Below, you will find two word documents where I listed my research into making the podcast aswell as my official plans to go towards to product. Smile campaign podcast project plan and research from AmyKilbride2 Podcast for smile from AmyKilbride2 Before anything, the paperwork was handed in providing evidence that those contributing participated willingly. There was only two sheets though, both being a contributor consent form each as that's all that was required before recording began. Two, because there was only two guests involved on the audio file. Paperwork from AmyKilbride2 One all was ready, off to the recording studio it wa...

Canon: Evaluation

Putting together evaluations now for both of the final products, this part made me very happy I didn't go ahead with the scrapped drafts I wanted to put together. Especially as that means I would have to talk over and over about the same shots again and again getting boring pretty quick. First to complete, was the video product: Canon campaign video evaluation from AmyKilbride2 Getting this done, there was talk on every second from start to finish on the advertisement. Getting onto the digital print now: Canon campaign poster evaluation   from  AmyKilbride2 Including every detail placed onto the digital print, all had been talked about and analysed.

Smile: Evaluation

Adding the final piece to this project, the evaluation document. Getting this done, a new application source was used as suggested, Microsoft Sway. Never using this before, it didn't take long for me to get a hang of as at first it was slightly confusing. But once I got a hand of the document, all went right with it.  Smile campaign evaluation   from  AmyKilbride2 Analysing the whole of my product, plenty of time was spent going through every second put into the video, even talking about the use of angles, the story, unused footage, situations from the day of filming, etc.

Canon: Final outcomes UPDATED

Image
Screening both the poster and advertisement to a small audience, there was few tweaks suggested I should make to better the outcomes. Coming from those who previewed the drafts, there was two edits in mind for each to change about both outcomes. I have considered all and will do what I can to improve the drafts. Once those products have been updated, the final versions will be inserted onto this blog. First up, the video: Not knowing how to change the end sequence with some not being so happy with how the white backgrounds appear on images, the only edit I know I can get done for this as suggested, is to have sound added to the start of the video with it being too quiet and practically empty. Thinking through my options, it was either to expand the music file, that possibility I wasn't to fond of as the chosen track gets upbeat straight away which I imagined to have right where the clips came into place. Another thought that came to mind was to hunt around for an opening track. It ...

Smile: Final outcome UPDATED

Image
The feedback has now been received on the product, leading to only one change needed. That being the lighting effects brought up by those who previewed the advertisement. Without realising, one from the audience gave me a tip to use that I had already included during the editing process. Suggesting I make the "sad" section of the video darker, they didn't notice I had put effort into doing so. Fixing this, I have decided to go back and attempt making the draft noticeably gloomier. Inserting to show the difference, the image along the left was a screenshot from before I began editing again.  Leaving the effects on from the first draft, I tampered with a few of the adjustment options till finally I came across the vibrance and saturation tools. With the vibrance, the colours were made to stand out so once I darkened the scene with the saturation, there was still a form of colour to be found.  Moving onto the next scene, I aimed to use the same effects at the exact same lev...

Canon: Final outcome + Feedback

Image
At the end of Post-Production now, a digital print has been put together creating a poster to advertise the client as well as a video outcome all made to promote the same topic. Following the results, from a presentation given to screen the outcomes, all the feedback will be talked about below each product. For the presentation as well, a quick document had been typed up helping me gather the right responses I needed heading in a more specific direction than the simple answers I could have received. Canon feedback questions   from  AmyKilbride2 Not wanting too many questions to bombard on the audience, I thought up enough that would work in giving me the feedback I needed. Placing in order of completion, up first is the poster. Since the print has already been uploaded on a different blog, all you will find here is the feedback for it. Being the only digital print going towards the campaign, all the feedback received was mostly positive. Not uploading the audio file straight ...

Canon: Diary entries

To document the production stage for the outcome being prepared for the Canon campaign, a filming journal as well as a production diary has been created and used from the start. They may sound as if there is no difference between the two, but really there is. To document everything relating to the video project whether that be issues with the equipment or cast, mentions of times and days for anything that happened, basically everything to do with the production of getting the pictures and videos taken. Filming journal canon   from  AmyKilbride2 As for the production diary, that was there for what was recorded. Technical difficulties, experimenting, how successful the shots were. More about the footage itself really. Production diary canon from AmyKilbride2 Not finishing there, six post-production diaries had also been put in place documenting four individual videos, one for background music then the last to mention was the first document created before a bunch of layout...
